Product role
A fire pump set is the dedicated water-supply heart of a hydrant or sprinkler system. It typically includes a main electric pump, standby diesel pump and a jockey pump with dedicated control panels, subject to the approved design.
Functionality
The jockey pump maintains normal system pressure. When pressure drops due to firefighting demand or a test, the main pump starts according to the control logic; standby arrangements provide resilience if the primary supply is unavailable.
Product family
- Electric main fire pump
- Diesel standby fire pump
- Jockey pump
- Pump controllers / panels
- Ancillary valves, gauges and test arrangements
Typical applications
- Hydrant systems
- Automatic sprinkler systems
- Factories and warehouses
- Commercial / institutional premises
- Fire-water networks requiring dedicated duty
What should be checked?
- Required flow and pressure from hydraulic design
- Power / diesel standby philosophy
- Water source and suction conditions
- Controller sequence and automatic start
- Testing, access, ventilation and maintainability
Keep it ready
- Routine auto/manual start checks
- Battery, fuel, coolant and engine checks for diesel sets
- Check suction/discharge valves and gauges
- Inspect leakage / vibration / abnormal noise
- Record pressure, start sequence and service findings
Fire products should be selected as part of the risk and system — not by image alone.
Brand, certification, capacity, pressure, agent, hydraulic duty, device protocol, environmental rating and statutory requirements can change by project. We can help organise the requirement and quotation, but the final design/specification must follow the applicable code, approved drawings and competent professional / authority requirements.
