Product role
A hydrant and hose reel system is a fixed water distribution network made up of piping, hydrant / landing valves, hose reels, hoses, branch pipes, cabinets and the water/pump arrangement needed to deliver firefighting water.
Functionality
Dedicated fire pumps pressurise the network. Hose reels provide controlled first-aid firefighting water for trained users, while hydrant outlets allow higher-flow firefighting hose operations according to system design.
Product family
- Internal hydrant / wet-riser arrangements
- External yard hydrants
- Hose reel systems
- Landing valves, fire hoses and branch pipes
- Breeching / fire-service connections where required
Typical applications
- Factories
- Warehouses
- Large commercial buildings
- Campuses and industrial sites
- Multi-storey premises where required by design
What should be checked?
- Required flow / pressure and hazard classification
- Water-storage capacity
- Pipe sizing and hydraulic design
- Pump duty and standby arrangement
- Hose coverage, cabinet location and access
Keep it ready
- Check pumps, valves and gauges
- Inspect hose, reel, nozzle and cabinets
- Operate / test pumps and automatic start logic
- Look for leakage, obstruction and corrosion
- Maintain flow / pressure test and AMC records
Fire products should be selected as part of the risk and system — not by image alone.
Brand, certification, capacity, pressure, agent, hydraulic duty, device protocol, environmental rating and statutory requirements can change by project. We can help organise the requirement and quotation, but the final design/specification must follow the applicable code, approved drawings and competent professional / authority requirements.
