Product role
An automatic sprinkler system is a network of water-filled or controlled piping fitted with heat-sensitive sprinkler heads. Individual heads operate when their thermal element reaches its design temperature.
Functionality
Heat from a developing fire activates sprinkler heads in the affected area. Water is discharged over the fire while the system flow can also trigger alarms and fire-pump demand depending on design.
Product family
- Wet-pipe sprinkler systems
- Dry / pre-action systems where justified
- Different sprinkler response / temperature ratings
- Storage / rack / special application sprinklers where engineered
Typical applications
- Warehouses and logistics
- Commercial buildings
- Factories
- Hotels / institutional premises
- Storage occupancies with engineered design
What should be checked?
- Occupancy / storage hazard
- Ceiling and rack arrangement
- Hydraulic demand and water supply
- Temperature / environment
- Sprinkler type, spacing and obstruction analysis
Keep it ready
- Keep sprinklers unobstructed and undamaged
- Inspect valves / supervisory devices
- Test alarms and water-flow signals
- Maintain pumps and water supply
- Control changes in storage layout that affect design
Fire products should be selected as part of the risk and system — not by image alone.
Brand, certification, capacity, pressure, agent, hydraulic duty, device protocol, environmental rating and statutory requirements can change by project. We can help organise the requirement and quotation, but the final design/specification must follow the applicable code, approved drawings and competent professional / authority requirements.
